Isle of Palms Real Estate News - Spring 2006 Update on Septic Sewer Permitting on the Island - The Isle of Palms Water and Sewer Commission is limiting sewer tie-in permits to 200 (of which approximately 50 have already been issued). After the 200 permits are exhausted, the Water Commission will study the impact on capacity before issueing additional permits. Builders and homeowners tieing
into existing sewer lines can cut their costs by teaming up with others
in their immediate area who are also tieing in. The Water Department is
happy to share information about proposed new construction with builders

Compared to late last year, when ranch homes were priced in the $400's, time on market is steadily increasing. However, inventory for homes in the next pricing level up ($750,000 to $1.5 million) remains slim, which is helping to push sales in this segment.
